Knowledge data licensing
RepairFront helps shops run their business. Separately — and only under a signed data agreement — we may license anonymized, aggregated repair knowledge drawn from shops that participate in our knowledge network. This is not a sale of customer personal information.
What this is — and what it is not
Licensed exports may include:
- Equipment catalog aggregates (make, model, engine, unit counts)
- Anonymized part-pattern aggregates with minimum contributing-shop thresholds (k-anonymity)
Licensed exports never include:
- Customer names, contact information, or billing details
- VINs, unit numbers, plates, or driver-identifying information
- Work order numbers, invoices, pricing, labor rates, or shop financials
- Shop-identifiable records or marketing lead lists
Subscriber in-app knowledge sharing is part of the RepairFront platform experience and is governed by the EULA. Commercial API export requires a standalone data license, scoped API keys, and separate annual billing.
How shops participate
Knowledge pools are built from shops that use RepairFront and participate under our service terms. Shops control what categories they contribute (for example, vehicle catalog and part patterns). Patterns only appear in licensed exports when enough independent shops contribute to meet anonymity thresholds — protecting any single shop from being identified.
License tiers
Scope, volume, and pricing are set per licensee under a standalone data agreement.
| Tier | Scopes | Rate limit |
|---|---|---|
| Insights Equipment catalog aggregates for market sizing and fleet mix analysis | Equipment catalog | 5,000 / hr |
| Patterns Equipment catalog plus anonymized part pattern exports | Equipment catalog, Part patterns | 10,000 / hr |
| Partnership Private isolated pool with full API scopes for dealer groups and OEM programs | Equipment catalog, Part patterns | 25,000 / hr |
| Enterprise Custom scope, volume, and multi-year agreements | Equipment catalog, Part patterns | 50,000 / hr |
Licenses are invoiced annually under a data license agreement — separate from RepairFront shop SaaS subscriptions.
